Teach job seekers long-lasting skills

In these days of ultra-rapid change, preparing for a specific career by learning its special skills won’t do.

The job one prepares for in this way is unlikely to exist by the time one’s basic education is through. The focus of education should therefore be on those things that change least, things that are always needful.

In a nutshell the main goal of education should be to learn how to teach, oneself and others. This way, one may acquire special skills later as needed, under one’s own initiative if necessary.

Also, and really more importantly, in learning to teach others one learns to deal with people. And this will always be necessary.
