South Buffalo is ideal for new Bills stadium

I would like to share some thoughts on where to build a new stadium for the Buffalo Bills. According to a recent Buffalo map, there is a large open area called the South Buffalo redevelopment site. It is only one mile from Niagara Square, where there are many hotels, restaurants, bars, stores and theaters.

It is close to many main highways – Route 190 to the north, Route 90 to the east, Route 5 to the west, South Park and Route 33 to the airport. There are existing train tracks on this site – Norfolk Southern from the east and south, and CSX from the north and south. By adding a train terminal near the stadium, fans from Albany, Syracuse and Rochester could get on a train and get off right at the stadium. On CSX, fans could catch a train in Toronto, Hamilton or Niagara Falls. In addition, adding a spur to our subway line would make a great way to get to a stadium on this site. Finally, the Buffalo River runs to Lake Erie through this piece of land, so even boat lovers could dock near the stadium (although this is not recommended for December games).
