President’s policies hurting the economy

The Washington news media have worked hard to cover up President Obama’s blunders, but the public recognizes his shortcomings as identified in unfavorable polls.

The most important issue is the economy. We have watched the once mighty U.S. economy grow weaker, held back by Obama’s anti-business, anti-growth policies.

Along with the economy is the issue of jobs. The unemployment rate is 6.1 percent, but that is due largely to the fact that millions of discouraged long-term jobless workers have stopped looking for work and are no longer counted among the unemployed. If you counted these workers, the unemployment rate would be 10.3 percent. The Federal Reserve chairman stated that the need for jobs is one of the most serious problems confronting the economy.

Our $17 trillion national debt is unsustainable. We need to downsize government through entitlement reform and consolidation of departments and programs.

Obamacare has had a huge impact on small business, the economy and the struggling middle class.

As for immigration control – there is none.

Other countries view the United States as weak. How are we going to survive under this president for the next 2½ years?
