More screening needed to detect sinus cancer

On March 14, surgery on cancer located in several of my sinus chambers was performed. Within days, I became well aware of the frequency with which these types of cancer surgeries are performed, including that of football great Jim Kelly.

In the following days, it became painfully obvious that preventive measures, such as sinus CT scans, should be performed on seniors where sinus disorders are suspect – particularly in light of the potential causes, smoking and cell phone use.

Having facial skin rolled back to allow cancer cell removal from all matter between one’s tongue and eye sockets will have that impact on any victim. A quick call to Roswell Park’s head and neck oncology department will verify the numbers.
