Give listeners a chance to share their opinions
In the days of John Otto (RIP), talk shows enabled listeners to voice their opinions on any and all subjects brought up. Since the appearance of Rush Limbaugh and all his wannabees, the programing has changed. We now listen to hours and hours of what the talk show host thinks and how his hatred for the other side can be manipulated into a victory for his side.
Listeners are very seldom given the chance to comment on any subject, especially if they don’t agree with the host. There is so much hate brought on by the hosts accusing others of things that are either lies or not believable.
I would like talk shows to allow the voice of the listener to be heard, rather than only the slanted opinion of the unbalanced host. Perhaps these hosts should listen to 740 AM in Toronto for a lesson.
