Ebola outbreak is being pushed to the inside of newspapers

I’d like to know why all the news dealing with the Ebola outbreak is buried inside the paper, on pages four or five.

All that is ever reported is that the little aid that was going to these countries is being removed. If we are going to ignore a huge population that needs our help, we ought to be reminded of it. Maybe if the tragedy happening right now in West Africa were more visible, we would be more inclined to find ways to help.

West Africa needs more resources to treat patients and enact effective quarantines. Why has our government done so little to help stanch the Ebola epidemic? Is it because it would be purely a humanitarian effort and our country would gain nothing in return?
