Cobain commentary was unduly harsh

It was with disgust that I read News music critic Jeff Miers’ statement regarding the untimely death of Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain. His words, “Cobain was a junkie, plain and simple. And he died a junkie’s death …” sickened me, which is not something that happens often when I am reading a newspaper.

Cobain was one of the most talented musicians of all time. Speaking ill of him 20 years after his death does not take away from what he accomplished.
