City should not be paying officers linked to brutality

As the president of the South Buffalo Community Block Club and a community activist for the past 22 years, I have to say that I am totally appalled that five of the six Buffalo police officers accused in a brutality case were put on paid administrative leave. This just shows that police can sit home and get paid after inflicting unnecessary harm to a suspect.

Where is the justice or the punishment in this for their actions? That’s a veranda beach vacation paid for by the good citizens of our fine city. Hit them where it hurts, their wallets, and show other arrogant and uncaring officers that crime doesn’t pay.
