Citizens deserve truth from elected officials
“Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive” is a famous poetic lesson that apparently is lost on some of our national leaders who persist in marginalizing governmental incompetence.
As if we haven’t heard enough of “what difference does it make” or “there’s not a smidgen of truth to it,” we now have the latest John Kerry humdinger – “that’s baloney” in response to accusations that the prisoner swap will put U.S. troops at greater risk.
Isn’t it about time the American people received some honest, straightforward answers? If we the people don’t deserve such consideration, then who does? And if not, why not?
