Cable company’s so-called ‘gift’ is really just a piece of coal
I found it quite amusing receiving a letter from Robert Marcus, chairman and CEO of Time Warner Cable, in my cable bill this month.
Marcus claims the merger will benefit his customers. Time Warner Cable gave its customers a nice “gift” by raising cable rates before merging with Comcast.
The only person benefiting is Robert Marcus. He gets a nice golden parachute worth millions of dollars on the backs of his customers. He doesn’t have to look for another job. He’s set for life.
If I could, I would ditch Time Warner and go with another provider for my TV service. Where I live, Time Warner is the only provider, since we are not allowed satellite service. Oh, well.
If I decide to move, Time Warner will not be my future TV service provider, that’s for sure.
