Why not move fountain to center of Hoyt Lake?

Majestic water sprouting toward the sky, cascading down with grace toward the surface of Hoyt Lake. Yes, finally, there is a fountain – if you can find it.

Why not place it in the center of the lake? Make it visible from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery’s steps. Make it visible to the thousands of jazz festival listeners. Make it visible from Marcy Casino, to the viewers of an occasional fireworks display, Shakespeare in the Park, etc.

What a waste of money in the name of greening the lake. Granted, it was designed to rejuvenate Hoyt Lake – or as we older folks know it, Delaware Lake. Kudos for that. It’s not too late to retrofit this beautiful, functional idea.
