Voters should reject legalized gambling
The voters of New York are about to have the wool pulled over their eyes with Proposition One authorizing casino gambling. The wording in the proposal is misleading and subjective. New York has plenty of sources of income, including the state-run lottery. Citizens should insist that New York’s government operate on the monies from those sources. To authorize gambling is simply inviting more corruption. But the reality of why this proposal is so bad for our state is the fact that our government is willing to place the almighty dollar before the health of our society. Please vote no.
