Sweet Home should not take in Buffalo students

The idea of Sweet Home Central School District taking students from Buffalo really took me back. If our school system is so low on students, why doesn’t the district close another elementary school? When it comes to making a decision of such great importance, I don’t think the School Board should be deciding this issue.

County Executive Mark Poloncarz generously said Erie County taxpayers would be giving money to assist the Buffalo schools. More money will not help the schools. Perhaps the biggest problem today in any school system is that a great many of the parents are not doing their job. Teachers are subjected to foul language and disrespect on a daily basis. Sadly, if the parents do come to school one can see why these children are the way they are.

People of the Sweet Home District should call one of the board members or write a letter to the school protesting this action.
