Some buildings still used on West Seneca campus

I would like to respond to the Nov. 15 letter about the West Seneca Developmental Center campus and property. Although the residences on campus are empty, two buildings on site house the staff of the Western New York Regional Office of the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. The Feinstein building is full of employees, although the condition of the building is outdated.

There are empty houses on East and West Road and Leydecker Road, however, a few of these will be used to house new residents relocating from other developmental centers that are closing late this year.

The writer has a good idea, though, and I don’t deny that at some point the property and buildings should be developed into a useful space.
