Comment shows Higgins has little influence in D.C.

Rep. Brian Higgins is a politician’s politician, and a perfect example of why we have gridlock in Washington. The only time we see or hear from him is when it’s election time, or when there is a chance for a free cameo on the local news.

Forget the inadvertent slight the president made against Mayor Byron Brown when he mistakenly called Higgins the mayor of Buffalo. After being in Washington for almost six years, the fact that our president doesn’t even know who Higgins is should tell us how much influence our congressman has in Washington. Whether you are Democrat or Republican, there are other choices than Higgins. I earnestly suggest we use them.
