It’s laughable to claim detainees are mistreated
A recent item in The News indicated that Gitmo detainees would have the option of receiving the swine flu vaccine, possibly before others who may be at risk of contracting the disease. This is outrageous.
Since we’ve read in this column before that these detainees were being mistreated, I think this situation is paradoxical. We’re going to inoculate people against the swine flu who have been mistreated? I just don’t get it. Is this to keep them alive and mistreat them further? These individuals receive medical care most of us cannot afford (refer to the film “Sicko”), and a better diet than a great many homeless people in the United States. Please spare me with this nonsense.
The next time you charge the U. S. government with mistreating detainees, remember the swine flu vaccine available to them. Then, look out the window and see a pig flying.
