Speed limits, seat belts help keep motorists safe
The spokesman for County Executive Chris Collins reassures us that the intersection of Strickler and County roads (the site of the terrible accident that killed four teenagers, as well as of a number of other accidents before and even since) is actually safe, so long as “drivers obey the speed limit and practice safe driving.”
Quite true. And no less true that cars shouldn’t need seat belts, for as long as they were driven safely there wouldn’t be any accidents.
