Many solvers prefer more difficult puzzles

Story tools:

For years, The Buffalo News has offered two large Sunday-size puzzles in the Sunday paper. All great Sunday-size puzzles have a theme and offer hours of enjoyment and challenges for the solver.

The News continues to offer the Los Angeles Times puzzle in this tradition and it is greatly appreciated. However, the second puzzle, which appears in the Puzzle Corner section, no longer has a theme and has been quite disappointing. A theme is of major importance in regard to interest and challenge to a seasoned crossword puzzle solver. Without one, puzzles are way too easy and frankly quite boring. I miss this second puzzle. Any chance of getting it back?
