Like many Americans I am saddened by the recent death of Sen. Ted Kennedy, may he rest in peace. A great statesman yes but, sadder still, he could have been the best in American history.
Senator Kennedy was unfaithful to the teachings of his Catholic church, when he switched from his pro-life stance to the politically expedient pro-choice platform of the Democratic party.
For years he championed for the poor and disenfranchised in our country, yet was dead silent on the tragedy of legalized abortion. What an impact he could have had on all of us, had he kept his pro-life views. That is the senator’s complete legacy.
