Let’s think long term about energy system

Story tools:

As a soon-to-be college freshman, I am dismayed when I read articles and columns, such as George F. Will’s “The dark side of green spending,” that only discuss the economic effects of bettering our faulty energy system.

Oil will not be around forever, and we need to invest in our future so we have a livable world with sustainable energy. Instead of thinking in the short term about energy, we need to think about the world in 50 or 100 years, and how my generation and our children will be trapped in the same energy crisis and warming world we are currently living in and creating.
