Kryzan has long been environmental advocate

Story tools:

The recent News editorial about the shenanigans of Jack Davis and Jon Powers gave the impression that voters in the 26th Congressional District Democratic primary have only two choices and both are less than honest and honorable. Having worked extensively with Alice Kryzan, who also is running for that seat, I know she is not only the best Democrat in the primary but also our strongest candidate in the general election. I strongly believe she would be a great congresswoman.

Kryzan offers voters many reasons to support her, but I want to focus on the one I know best — her passion for the environment. Whether it be for our local parks or our global climate, she has been a longtime environmental advocate. She has volunteered hundreds of hours helping a coalition of environmental groups that are opposing an unnecessary coal-fired power plant. And I have witnessed firsthand the sound judgment, technical ability and deep experience that Kryzan always brings to the table.

She has the credentials, commitment and judgment that her opponents cannot begin to match and that are in short supply in Washington.
