Knock off whining about Crosby
Story tools:
So the poor Detroit Red Wings are all in a tizzy because Sidney Crosby didn’t come over quickly enough to shake their hands after he just won the biggest game of his life. Are you kidding me?
I’m not a big Crosby fan, I’m ambivalent towards him, but to criticize the “Kid” because he just happened to be celebrating life with none other than his teammates seems pretty petty, if you ask me. What did the Wings expect him to do, bow down and thank them for the opportunity he was given to beat them? It’s not like he didn’t get in the handshake line at some point. It may not have been as quickly as the losing team wanted, but oh well, he just won the Stanley Cup.
Why didn’t more of the Detroit players exhibit the class of their coach, Mike Babcock, and come over to shake Crosby’s hand and congratulate him? Now that would have made more sense.
So give me a break, Detroit. Why not accept your defeat with humility? If you really need this to motivate you for next year, that’s pretty pathetic. Get to the golf course and quit your whining.
