Aud’s farewell fell a bit short
What a disappointment. The so-called celebration of the Aud was nothing but a huge letdown for me and my family. We were so excited to here about this event and all the activities it included. There would be autograph signing from some of the great Buffalo sports players and you could even buy some of the old seats for your own memories. Tickets to the event were very reasonable and we later discovered earlier in the week that autographs would cost a small fee.
Well, the weekend came and we packed up the car with a few items to be signed and ready to add some seats to our sports collection. Boy, were we in for a surprise. We arrived around 6:15 to the evening session and made our way upstairs for some autographs. This is when we discovered that there were tickets for autographs for $30 and that they were all sold out. Also, in order to even be allowed to buy some seats, you needed a bracelet that people were waiting in like for 2 hours earlier to the session before it even opened.
Also, where was the history of the Aud? The only things to see were all the old sports team memorabilia. There was nothing about the Aud except for buying T-shirts and hats. There was no videos or pictures or anything about the Aud. Just another money-making scheme. I guess we’ll have our own memories to say “farewell.”
