Jobs statistics show changes in economy

It might not have felt that way at the time, but it turns out that 2006 was a banner year for the Buffalo Niagara region’s consumers. With per-capita personal income jumping by 6.2 percent locally, it was the best year for income growth in the Buffalo Niagara region since 1988 and just the fifth time in the last 20 years that incomes here grew faster than the national average.
