Sami G. Williams, aircraft mechanic

A memorial Mass for Sami G. Williams, who worked as a Fed- Ex aircraft mechanic and buyer for many years, will be offered at 12:30 p. m. Saturday in St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4737 Lake Shore Road, Hamburg.
Mr. Williams, who grew up in Hamburg and lived in Eads, Tenn., died unexpectedly Oct. 1. He was 57.
A graduate of St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, he worked at his family’s gas station on Route 5 in Derby, at Ford Motor Co.’s Buffalo Stamping Plant and various other jobs until he moved to Memphis, Tenn., in 1987 to join FedEx as an aircraft mechanic. He traveled the world to repair planes until 2004, when he moved into aircraft conversions and acquisitions.
He enjoyed bodybuilding, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and working on his muscle cars. He also was a Buffalo Bills fan.
Surviving are his wife, Bobbi; a son, Matt; a daughter, Theresa Stewart; his mother, Violet; and three brothers, Danny, Ozzie and George.
