Robbie Lee Deeb, a Gulf War veteran who worked as a licensed practical nurse for 38 years, died June 30 from cancer complications in Union County Hospice, Monroe, N. C. She was 58.

“Her skills and knowledge were first-rate,“ said her husband, Gary, “but first and foremost she always concentrated most strongly on the human element. She liked people and they loved her.”

A memorial service will be at 6 p. m. Friday in Lombardo Funeral Home, 102 Linwood Ave.
