David K. Hill, fashion industry runway coach, active in church

David Keith Hill, a runway coach for the fashion industry and an active churchman, died Friday in Valley Renaissance Nursing Home, Youngstown, Ohio, after a long illness. He was 48.
A native of Buffalo, Mr. Hill attended local public schools, including Kensington High School, where he founded the Modeling Club.
In the 1980s, he attended Philadelphia Textile Institute and Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. He also taught runway modeling at Barbizon School of Modeling in Manhattan and in Buffalo in the 1980s.
In the 1990s, he worked at call centers at TeleTech Holdings in Niagara Falls and IDRC in Buffalo.
A member of Agape African Methodist Episcopal Church, Mr. Hill served in the church ministry on the Steward Board. He also taught Sunday school for young adults and was a part of the church’s lay organization.
He also had worked at AM&A’s and J. C. Penney department stores.
Surviving are his father, Horace; two sisters, Karen Joyce and Nicolle Joyelle Hill- Green; and two brothers, Kenneth Earl Sr. and Frederick Bennett.
Services will be at 11 a. m. today in Agape AME Church, 224 Northland Ave.
