Climate report urges greenhouse gas cut

Story tools:

TUPPER LAKE (McClatchy Newspapers) — An American response to climate change has been released in time for the New Year.

It is the summary of ongoing sessions put in motion at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake this past summer.

The full report, called “A Message to the Nation,” recommends reducing U. S. greenhouse gas emissions at least 80 percent by 2050.

It dubs the solution affordable and draws 60 percent of required funding from redirected energy investments.

It is considered a leading document driving American climate- change action.
