EAST BLOOMFIELD
Canandaigua official accused of felony DWI
EAST BLOOMFIELD (AP) — A suburban Rochester town supervisor faces a felony drunken-driving charge after police said he drove his car off the road in a neighboring town.
Police said Canandaigua Town Supervisor Lloyd Kinnear, 44, was driving alone in nearby East Bloomfield on Friday night when his car went off the road, across a field and into a ditch. A passer-by called 911.
Ontario County Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Gallagher said the car was towed out of the ditch, but Kinnear was conscious and not injured when police arrived. He was arrested and charged with felony DWI because of a drunken- driving conviction in 2005.
Kinnear was elected Canandaigua Town Supervisor three years ago.
