Skydiver makes jump with new prosthetic leg
POUGHKEEPSIE (AP) — A skydiver who lost his prosthetic leg in the air isn’t letting the mishap get him down: He made a jump with his replacement leg Wednesday.
Scott Listemann wore a special jumpsuit and a foot harness as a precaution.
He said the jump was “absolutely wonderful.”
Listemann, 47, is unsure why his previous prosthesis flew off during a June jump in Gardiner. After trying unsuccessfully to find it, Listemann got around on crutches until the replacement arrived Monday.
The Poughkeepsie man lost his left leg below the knee when a truck hit him in November.
