Man found with girl faces sex charges
BINGHAMTON (AP) — A 14-year-old Wisconsin girl was found at a campground with her 23-year-old boyfriend, who now faces federal charges of crossing state lines to have sex with a minor.
State police said the girl from Salem, Wis., was discovered Thursday evening with Kyle DeWolf at the Echo Lake Campground in Afton, about 20 miles southwest of Binghamton. The girl was turned over to Child Protective Services, and DeWolf was sent to Broome County Jail.
The two met over the Internet on MySpace.
DeWolf, who recently completed a 21-month tour of duty with the Army in Iraq, grew up near Binghamton and has family in the area. He also was charged with transferring obscene material to a minor.”
