The week’s best travel bargains around the globe:

• Stay for seven nights and pay for five at Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on the Caribbean island of Nevis. Rate starts at $365 per couple per night, including breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner; taxes and service charges are an additional 20 percent. The deal applies through Aug. 16. • The Costa Rica Tourist Board has teamed with tourism providers to launch the Costa Rica Plus program, offering coupons for free lodging, room upgrades, food credits, spa treatments, reduced domestic airfares and attractions. For example, up to two children younger than 12 accompanied by two paying adults fly free on Nature Air’s domestic flights from San Jose to other Costa Rica vacation destinations. Many hotels are offering a fourth night free, and several include a free third night. At Harmony Hotel, on the Pacific Coast, for example, pay for three nights, starting at $150 per night plus 13 percent taxes, and get a fourth night free. Book by Aug. 31, and travel by Dec. 15. • Princess Cruises’ Balcony Bonanza promotion is back. Receive free balcony upgrades worth up to $1,100 per couple on cruises departing January through April 2010.
