POP-UP DECORATIONS
Fall will be over before we know it, and whether you’re a fan of winter or not, you must admit the days get darker and drearier. But WallPops, removable adhesive decorations for your walls, has introduced some new bright, punchy designs that might lull you out of the winter doldrums.
Our favorites are the bright blue Calypso stripe, or the “Paisley Please” pattern in pink. The Calypso stripe is bright, fun and trendy teal color; it’s also a great way to get stripes without all of the hard work of taping up your walls in perfect linear fashion. The paisley pattern comes in a pink or blue/green color theme. You can buy single paisleys, blocks and/or a coordinating border.
There are also solid colors available, if you’re anti-pattern or want to mix-and-match with your favorite pattern. WallPops, brought to you by Brewster Home Fashions, come in dots (or other special shapes like paisley – mentioned above – or flowers, etc.), Blox and continuous stripe rolls.
Prices vary; go to wall-pops.com to find the retailer closest to you.
GET ‘MAD’
Ever watched “Mad Men” and thought “Don Draper, however do you get your hair like that?”
Well Axe might have your answer. The popular men’s grooming line has just released two products aimed to get you the “classic look.” One is a “Smooth & Sophisticated Look” shine pomade, which you can use to get your hair in control while giving it some shine.
The other is a cooling anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner combo. When we opened the bag it smelled like we were unwrapping spearmint gum. Which to us is a good thing, especially considering its touted cooling powers.
The products can now be found at Walmart and will hit shelves in other stores in January 2010.
