Too old for trick-or-treating, but you still want to get into the Halloween spirit? Here are some local haunted houses, hayrides and other spooky events you should check out this weekend:
The Final Fear (aka Scare at the Fair)
What is it? Five haunted houses including Dark Raven Manor, Big Top Terror, Raven Hill Asylum, Slaughter Haus and Soul Remains When: Today, 6:30 p. m. to 10 p. m.; Friday and Saturday, 6:30 p. m. to midnight. House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs
What is it? Selected as one of America’s Best Haunts, there are four attractions including House of Horrors, Haunted Catacombs, Curse of the Mummy and City of the Dead. Fright world
What is it? Five haunted houses including House of the Dead, Wicked Woods, Carnevil, Return of the Mummies and Phobiaz When: Today, 6:30 p. m. to midnight; Friday and Saturday, 6:30 p. m. to 1 a. m.; Sunday and Nov. 6, 7, 13 and 14, 6:30 p. m. to midnight. Lockport Haunted Cave
What is it?A 45-minute guided walking tour along the banks of the Erie Canal and through the haunted Lockport Cave, with ghost stories around a campfire. Also available are 15-minute underground boat rides. Reservations are needed ahead of time. When: Today, 6:30 p. m. to 9:30 p. m.; Friday, 6:30 p. m. to 10:30 p. m. Becker Farms Pumpkin Fiesta

Among the events missing from this year’s roster are the Barns of Doom and Haunted Hayride normally located across the street from the Hamburg Fairgrounds. The construction company that used to run the Barns of Doom has decided to retire from its Halloween activities.
