Broadway bonanza
What: “Neil Berg’s 101 Years of Broadway” Why: This musical revue features show tunes from every era—from Irving Berlin to Andrew Lloyd Webber. What else: The follow-up to the successful “100 Years of Broadway” will feature such classics as Judy Garland’s “Trolley Song,” George Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch Over Me” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific.” Info: The show starts at 8 p. m. in the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts. Women take over Babeville
What: Women’s Gifts: An Arts, Crafts and Music Event Why: Celebrate women’s creativity with live music and artisans. What else: Dozens of vendors will be selling their wares— from handbags to pottery to jewelry. The six musical acts include Kathy Moriarty and Noa Bursie. What: Reptile Experience Why: Jeff Musial of Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics, a local animal expert who appears regularly on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” will do three shows featuring exotic and endangered animals. What else: Get up close and personal with an American alligator, lizards, lemurs, a baby kangaroo and more. What: “Buffalo Sings!” Why: This new Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus concert series is on a mission to make Buffalo into a singing city with participation of community and school choirs and nationally recognized artists and music educators. There will be five concerts. What else: It kicks off with the “Britten Festival,” featuring the Buffalo Niagara Youth Chorus, the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus and Doreen Rao as conductor.
