Fun Run to benefit Hunter’s Hope is set for June 1

Thousands of bikers from across Western New York, Southern Ontario and Pennsylvania are expected for the 2008 Motorcycle Fun Run to raise money for the Hunter’s Hope Foundation.
This year’s event will take place June 1 starting in the Transitowne Plaza, at Main Street and Transit Road in Clarence, and ending at the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg.
The cost to enter is $20 for each driver or $30 for a driver and a passenger.
The event is expected to attract a number of star athletes and celebrities, including Hall of Fame Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly.
In addition to the race, people can buy tickets to enter a drawing with a top prize of a custom motorcycle donated by daredevil Robbie Knievel and autographed by more than 40 Pro Football Hall of Fame players.
Raffle tickets are available from Don George’s Sports Center as well as at www.huntershope.org . Registration runs from 10 a. m. to noon the day of the run. Late registration will be held at the Hamburg Fairgrounds, where refreshments and entertainment will be available after the run. Nonbikers can pay $10 to attend.
