Re-Tree WNY is organizing a bare-root tree-planting training session for suburban volunteers at 1 p. m. Saturday at the Park School, 4625 Harlem Road, Snyder. Amherst Garden Club will meet at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, 6540 Main St., Amherst. Ellen De- Wind will instruct members on cleaning and preserving fabrics without chemicals. Newcomers welcome.

Town of Wheatfield Garden Club will meet at 7 p. m. Wednesday in the Wheatfield Community Center, 2790 Church Road, for an autumn craft workshop. Visitors welcome.

Hamburg House and Garden Club will meet at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Hamburg United Methodist Church meeting house, 107 Main St., Hamburg. Jeanette Williams of the Buffalo&Erie County Botanical Gardens will present a program on pollination. Business meeting to follow.
