Heroes

Droplets through the smoke

The blue sky starts to choke

The red raging in the ashes

A sadness falls

A teardrop crashes

Families mourn

For the brave fallen

Giving their lives For those who will be long forgotten

These heroes lay there

Flags over their faces

A new dawn erases

The happiness that was felt the night before

Rest in peace, brave firefighters,

For heroes you are

And you’ll be

Forevermore
