Here is a quick look at the Ferullo home:
Layout: Central foyer large enough for piano, dining room, living room with fireplace, den with wood-burning stove off dining room, kitchen with adjoining eating area, powder room, mud room with laundry area on first floor. Master bedroom with large closet and adjoining bonus room, two additional bedrooms, one full bath on second floor. Old barn on nearly an acre of land. Nice back deck.
Floors: Old and new hardwood, area rugs, carpeting upstairs.
Furniture: Leather seating in living room, family pieces, antiques, yard sale finds.
Accessories: Framed family photos, salvaged mantel from Larkin House propped against wall in kitchen area, other items discovered in their barn, yard sales, antique shops, Craigslist.
Paint colors:Mostly Benjamin Moore paints throughout interior, including Embassy Green in living room, Weimaraner (taupy gray) in master bedroom, Dried Basil in upstairs hallway, Soft Chamois in the powder room, Glacial Till in the den. The woodwork is white.
Ceilings get the special treatment. The one in the girls' bedroom is painted a very light pink (Slipper by Kilz); the foyer ceiling is a light shade of blue Shelly blended herself.
Window treatments:Full-length, breezy curtains on rings, including ones in the living room sewn by a friend using a linen-blend Jacobean-floral fabric from Ballard Designs.
