As part of reforesting efforts, Re-Tree WNY and the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy is organizing a fall tree-planting training session for Buffalo and Olmsted volunteers from 9 to 11 a. m. The Bowmansville Garden Club will host a fundraiser, “Colors of Christmas,” at 6 p. m. Monday at the Bowmansville Fire Hall, 36 Main St. The event is sold out.
Willow Ridge Garden Club will meet 7:30 p. m. Wednesday at Zion United Church of Christ to nominate officers. Shirley Magee will lead a workshop on creating a small boxwood tree holiday decoration. Bring scissors and hot-glue gun.
The Orchard Park Garden Club will meet at noon Thursday at the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 4369 S. Buffalo St. Following the business meeting, members of the club’s orchid and violet interest groups will present a program. Prospective members welcome.
