Cinderella Isle Garden Club will hold a mum and craft sale from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Saturday at the home of Robin Shipman, 2020 Fix Road, Grand Island. Proceeds from the sale support the club’s community projects. For more information, call Adele Upton at 773-5847 or Robin Shipman at 912-6590.

The Allentown Association’s 2009 “Secrets of Allentown” tour will be held from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Saturday. Starting point is the carriage house at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site, 641 Delaware Ave., where booklets and tickets ($20) will be available. Find out more at

East Aurora Garden Club will meet at noon Monday at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 374 Main St., East Aurora. Following lunch and a business meeting, Ken Lawton of Turnbull Nurseries will present “Fall and Winter Pruning.”

Bowmansville Garden Club will meet at 7 p. m. Monday at the Bowmansville Fire Hall, 36 Main St., Bowmansville. Mary Brummer, an accredited flower show judge, will share techniques for creating floral designs. All welcome. For more information, contact club president Judy Visco at

Eden Garden Club will meet at 6:30 p. m. Tuesday at Brockman Greenhouses, 9758 Gowanda State Road, Eden. Member Donna Jensen will demonstrate a large-leaf hyper-tufa bird bath.

African Violet&Gesneriad Society of Western New York will meet at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Depew High School cafeteria, 5201 Transit Road, Depew. Activities include a leaf exchange, blossom show, mini-program on a gesneriad genus, repotting station and the featured program, “Propagation of African Violets&Gesneriads.” All welcome.
