Good Samaritan CareGivers will hold a free seminar to help seniors with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia prepare for the holiday season at 6:30 p. m. today in the Conference Center, Amherst Commerce Park, 4242 Ridge Lea Road, Amherst. The 11th annual National Survivors of Suicide Day program, bringing together families and friends who have lost loved ones to suicide, will take place from 12:45 to 3:30 p. m. Saturday in Butler Rehabilitation Center, Buffalo Psychiatric Center, 400 Forest Ave. The program, sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, includes live satellite and Web broadcasts featuring people all over the country who have lost someone to suicide.
