Delaware Park Fitness Camp, a group exercise program for those ages 18 and over, will be held at 12:30 p. m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays through Dec. 17 under the direction and supervision of certified personal trainers. Participants should bring comfortable workout clothes, sneakers, heart rate monitor (optional), sunscreen, towel and water bottle. The camp is held near the intersection of Parkside Avenue and Route 198 (Agassiz entrance of Delaware Park). For information or to register, call 838-1249, Ext. 11.

The University at Buffalo’s Center for Children and Families is conducting a study for fathers of children with ADHD, ages 6 to 12 years, to determine whether a parenting program for fathers helps improve the functioning of those children. Once qualified, the family will receive additional psychological treatment or continue with the treatment and parenting strategies already being used. Psychological treatment includes parenting programs for the fathers and participation in structured soccer activities for the child. US Too!, a support group of prostate cancer survivors, has free speakers available for organizational meetings. The speakers provide current information on prostate cancer and stress the importance of being checked for the disease that affects one in six men in the United States. Neurosurgeon L. Nelson Hopkins, director of the Toshiba Stroke Research Center at the University at Buffalo, will give a free lecture on “Stroke: A Dark Past and a Bright Future” at 7 p. m. today in Montante Cultural Center at Canisius College.

A free workshop, “Gluten Free—Happy and Healthy,” will be offered at 1 p. m. today at Independent Health Education Center, 620 Dick Road, Depew. To register, phone 649-9004.

Wynwood Kenmore, 2971 Delaware Ave., will offer a flu and pneumonia shot clinic from noon to 4 p. m. Wednesday. Flu shots are $25 and pneumonia shots are $49 (no co-pay with Medicare Part B). For appointments, call 874-3200.

The National Kidney Foundation of WNY is offering free kidney early evaluation program screenings (KEEP) from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Saturday at New Testament Revival Cathedral, 987 Kensington Ave. The program is for those who have a parent, grandparent or sibling who has diabetes, high blood pressure or kidney disease. Screenings include blood pressure and weight measurements and blood and urine tests to check for hypertension, diabetes and kidney disease. For an appointment or information, call 835-1323.

The Breast Cancer Network of WNY will present an educational program at 6 p. m. next Tuesday in the Emerson Room, Unitarian Universal Church, 6320 Main St., Williamsville. Dr. Moneer Khalil, a radiation oncologist, will present the last-est research in breast cancer treatment. A peer-led support group meeting will follow at 7:30.
