Delaware Park Fitness Camp, a group exercise program for those ages 18 and over, will be held at 12:30 p. m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays through Dec. 17 under the direction and supervision of certified personal trainers. Participants should bring comfortable workout clothes, sneakers, heart rate monitor (optional), sunscreen, towel and water bottle. The camp is held near the intersection of Parkside Avenue and Route 198 (Agassiz entrance of Delaware Park). The club also will offer Kid Support, a free, curriculum- based, peer-focused support group designed to address the psychological and social needs of children who have a family member or friend with cancer, as well as the children with cancer. The Amherst Secular Organizations for Sobriety will hold a support group meeting at 7:30 p. m. today in the Center for Inquiry, 1310 Sweet Home Road, Amherst. There is no fee for the meeting. For information, call 636-4869, Ext. 318.
A flu shot clinic will be offered from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Wednesday at Schofield Adult Wellness Center, 2222 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda. Nurses from Maxim Healthcare services will give the immunizations that are covered by Medicare Part B, Independent Health and several private insurance carriers. Without insurance, the cost is $30. Lisa Cove, certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner, will speak at Family Education Night at 6 p. m. Wednesday at Harris Hill Nursing Facility, 2699 Wehrle Drive, Lancaster. "The Many Faces of Breast Cancer," a national program that educates women about the risks of breast cancer and provides support to breast cancer survivors, will be held from 10 a. m. to noon Saturday in Marinaccios, 5877 Main St., Williamsville.
