Kelly Newton and Brett Hammond were married at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 18 in St. John’s Lutheran Evangelical Church, Lancaster. Guests gathered for a reception at Fox Valley Country Club, Lancaster. Pastor Kirk Langset of St. John’s Lutheran Evangelical Church heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Michael and Susan Newton of Cheektowaga. The bridegroom’s parents are Thomas and Barbara Hammond of Derby and Robin and Donald Land of King George, Va. The bride is a graduate of West Seneca East High School. She earned a degree in radiologic technology and a license in ultrasound from Trocaire College. The bride is a registered diagnostic medical sonographer at Great Lakes Medical Imaging. The groom is a graduate of Lake Shore High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University and also earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. The groom is a transaction services manager at CitiGroup Inc. After a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will make their home in West Seneca.
