Elizabeth F. Budniak and R.J. Killinger were married at 2 p.m. July 20 in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Amherst. Guests gathered for a reception at Acqua. The Rev. Giles Zakowicz, of St. Francis of Assisi Friary in Mishawaka, Ind., heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are James R. and Katherine Budniak of East Amherst. The bridegroom’s parents are Rosalyn Killinger of Lancaster and Ronald Killinger of Williamsville. The bride is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology education from Niagara University and also earned a master’s degree in special education from Niagara University. The bride is a special-education teacher at Williamsville Central School District. The groom is a graduate of Williamsville South High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Canisius College and also earned a master’s degree of science in physical education from Canisius College. The groom is a physical education, health teacher and coach for Buffalo City Schools. After a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands, the couple will make their home in Buffalo.
