Amanda Margaret Popiolkowski and Nicholas Scott Barton were married at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 26 in Trinity Episcopal Church. Guests gathered for a reception at Avanti Mansion, Blasdell. Cynthia Lehman of Buffalo heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Chester J. and Margaret M. Popiolkowski of Lancaster. The bridegroom’s parents are George P. and Dawn A. Barton of Buffalo. The couple met while they were volunteering at the Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The bride is a graduate of Mount Mercy Academy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from D’Youville College and is attending Daemen College. The bride is a registered nurse at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. The groom is a graduate of McKinley High School. He earned a paramedic license from Erie Community College. The groom is a paramedic at Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps. After a trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., the couple will make their home in Lancaster.
