SKI FOR A CAUSE

Holimont Ski Resort in Ellicottville will host the 16th annual Kids Escaping Drugs SkiScape on Sunday. The event will feature skiing, snowboarding and a performance by Jay McDonnell. ARTS AND WRITING CONTEST

The Holocaust Resource Center of Buffalo is holding is annual Arts and Writing Contest for students in grades seven through 12. Entries in either writing or visual arts should focus on the theme, “Stand Up – Don’t Stand By.” Prizes will be awarded for each category in each grade. Deadline is April 11. TALENT SEARCH

Personal Best, a modeling and talent school in Buffalo, is searching for students ages 11 to 19 to participate in the Western New York Young Performers Showcase, which will be held Feb. 2 in the Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga. The competition is open to individual dancers, singers, actors, musicians and other performers.
