The annual Boo Benefit will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Sweet Home High School, 1901 Sweet Home Road, Amherst. Children and families are welcome to come for trick-or-treating in a safe environment, as well as games, crafts, a basket auction and more. The cost per child is $3. Proceeds benefit the Hope for Ariang Foundation, which aims to improve schooling in the Darfur region of South Sudan, Africa.

STAY SAFE

This week is Teen Driver Safety Week, and Kars4Kids, a national car donation charity, has launched an initiative to discourage texting and driving. Visit www.kars4kids.org/texting/index.asp to take a pledge to not text and drive and to learn more about staying safe on the roads.
