Dolvett Quince doesn’t soft-pedal weight loss.

“I think that everyone, to some degree, doesn’t like the pain” that comes with eating right and exercise, said Quince, one of the trainers on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.”

He visited Buffalo for an Independent Health wellness expo last fall and talked about his “Me and My Chair” exercise DVD.

“I did that four or five years ago because I had a client, who I loved dearly, who said to me, ‘I wish you could come with me (and train me) on my trips.’ He was a businessman.”

By that time, Quince had become well-known in Atlanta because of a show on Q-100 radio. He decided to come up with this workout.

“It’s a no-excuse workout,” he said. “Everyone has a chair in their house. … I came up with 45, 50 different movements using just a chair. It spoke to overweight people who didn’t think they were in good enough shape to get to the gym. It spoke to stay-at-home moms. And it spoke to the men and women who travel or are constantly on the go.”
